  • Tires should be rotated every 5,000 miles or 6 months.
  • Tire pressure should be checked every few weeks. Low pressure can affect fuel economy, handling, and safety.
Accurate testing occurs when your tires are cold.
  • Proper tire alignment is imperative as incorrect alignment can cause pulling.
  • Don’t forget to check your spare each month for proper inflation!
  • Measure your tread with the penny trick. Your tread is in good shape if it covers President Lincoln’s head! If
not, head over to you local MA tire shop for expert advice on new tires.Gas Mileage Tips
  • Use the right oil. You can improve your gas mileage up to 2% by using the manufacturer’s recommended grade
    of motor oil.
  • Look for shade. The hot summer days will not only heat your car, causing interior damage but can evaporate the
    fuel in your tank.
  • Tighten your cap. Like the hot sun, loose gas caps allow fuel to evaporate. Loose, missing, or damaged gas caps
cause 147 million gallons of gas to evaporate each year.
  • Remember your air filter check every 6 months to keep your engine running smoothly.
